About Tallaght Drugs Force
Tallaght Drug & Alcohol Task Force is one of 14 Local Drugs Task Forces set up in 1997 to facilitate a more effective response to the issue of substance misuse. We are a multi-agency partnership responsible for the local implementation of the Governments’ national Drugs Strategy.
There is an interview process for a place on the course which will commence the week of 23rd July 2018
A deposit of Euro 60.00 is required to secure a place on the course and the balance of Euro 60.00 must be paid prior to the commencement of the course.
This is a free service with rapid access to treatment by trained personal backed up by the Mater Hospital.

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a global event held on August 31st each year. This day aims to spread the message that the tragedy of overdose death and injury is preventable, raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death.
Tallaght Drug & Alcohol Task Force is very much aware that intimidation is still a prominent issue of concern in our communities, impacting greatly on substance mis-users and their families.
We are hosting an interactive workshop on Alcohol and Mental Health. Some of the topics will include how to mind your mind, how alcohol affects your mental health, statistics around alcohol and suicide and self harm.
